New Beginnings

Wow, this time I really did neglect my blog! I can't believe it's been a month since I last blogged, it's ridiculous how fast time passes by and how quickly your life can change.
As some of you may know I started Canterbury Christ Church University in September, which meant moving away from home. As much as I was looking forward to starting something new, I was really nervous and wasn't sure how I would find being away from home but I shouldn't have been because I LOVE IT!
I've surprised myself with how quickly I settled here and I am living with such an amazing group of girls. It's hard to believe we've only known each other a month as I feel like I've known them all my life.
Moving away from home has really made me appreciate my family and friends a lot more and since starting uni I've really learnt who my true friends are.
One thing that I really thought I would struggle with is not being able to shop like I did when I was living at home but to be honest I'm finding it alright as I am actually still able to shop and I actually really like shopping in Canterbury, there's a good selection of shops and most importantly there's a newish Primark here!

I haven't been able to get any photos of my new bits yet as I don't have a camera here with me but I have a reading week coming up so I am planning to get some pictures done when I'm back at home. So here's an autumnal outfit from before I left for uni.
It's another bargain outfit all purchased in the sales, the jumper was £5.99 from Zara, the jeans were £8, the necklace was £6 and the bots were £7!

Anyway I hope to get back on track with my blogging now and not leave it too long between posts.

Just Playin'

Another bargain outfit for you all today. This gorgeous little playsuit was a tiny £9 from the Topshop sale. The photos don't really do it justice which is a shame as you can't really see the faint leopard print detailing which makes it feel more expensive and dressy. I kept this outfit quite simple by just pairing it with a pair of shoe boots that I picked up in the New Look sale last year.

So I only have 5 days left until I go to uni and I still haven't started packing up my clothes and shoes! I literally have no idea where to start or what to take with me. I want to take it all but I just know I'm not going to have enough room so I really need to start getting organised! I'm excited about going to uni but obviously part of me is quite nervous so if any of you have any tips for me I'd love to hear them!

Until next time

LBD~

Dress - H&M
Shoes - New Look
Clutch - Primark

The little black dress is a classic wardrobe staple that all women should own at least one of and H&M have got it spot on with this beauty. AND it's only £9.99!! You really can't get much better than that.
I love how it's so simple yet the thin straps and mesh panel make it feel a bit more dressy.
When I saw this dress on the hanger I wasn't too sure about it as it looked like a lot of fabric heavy fabric and it looked as if it would be a bit of a strange length, but I actually really like the length and fit of it.
I decided to pair this dress with two of my £5 bargain finds. I got the heels in New Look last year and the bag was a recent find in the Primark sale.

The Shoe Edit

I'm backkkkkkkkk! It's been a while I know and I feel really bad for neglecting my blog lately but with everything that's been going on lately I just haven't had time!
So first things first... I got into uni!!! Wooooooooo! I start at Canterbury Christ Church University in 2 weeks time so lately I've been really busy sorting things out for that and buying everything I'm going to need. I'm really excited about going, obviously slightly nervous too, but the girls I'm in a house with all seem really lovely so I can't wait to meet them.

Anyway on to today's post. The Shoe Edit.
As the name suggests I've been buying quite a few pairs of shoes lately. If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen a recent picture of some of my shoe collection, so I thought I'd share some of my latest purchases with you.

These gorgeous desert boots are from the Topshop sale and initially I ordered both colours to see which I preferred and I was planning on sending the other colour back. However when they arrived I couldn't decide which pair I liked the best so I kept them both. The were such bargains with both pairs coming to a total of £25 which is cheaper than it would have cost for one pair at full price.

I have been after a pair of Converse for years now and I've just never got round to getting a pair so when I saw this pair in the Bank sale for £30 I decided now was the time. It was meant to be as they were the last pair in store and they were my size! I actually like them a lot more than I thought I would and they go with pretty much everything which makes me very happy. Also I think they are going to be useful at uni to just chuck on with jeans for a simple lazy outfit.

Another shoe style I've been after for a while now is the deck shoe. There's just something about a deck shoe with a rolled up jean that I just love, it just looks so effortless but so good. I love the colour of these and they're ridiculously comfortable which is always a bonus!

Oh I do love a good Primark court shoe and they've really upped their game with these gorgeous snake print beauties! Although I was drawn to them on the shelf, I wasn't 100% convinced however once they were on my feet I just knew they had to be mine! They look so much more expensive than the £10 price tag and look great with anything from jeans and a white tee to a little black dress.
I'm also equally impressed with this orange pair as well. I already have the pink pair and they're perfect for adding a pop of colour to an outfit so I thought I'd get the orange pair to mix it up a bit as we head into autumn.

When it comes to New Look's shoe sale I tend to do pretty well in my local store. In the past I've picked up quite a few pairs of heels at £5 a pair which is such a bargain. These boots were £7 in the sale and to begin with I wasn't sure if they looked too clumpy but they actually look a lot better on. Teamed with black jeans and chunky knit I think they will be perfect for a dry autumn/winter day.

Now I know the black pair have already been featured in previous posts but I thought I'd post about all 3 pairs together.
I can't really put into words how much I love these Primark skater shoes and I'm already on my second pair of black ones as I wear them so much. They are the comfiest and easiest shoe to wear! They look good with most things and they're only £7 a pair, you really can't go wrong! As you can probably tell I just love them and would recommend them to everyone!

Right well that'a enough from me for now. Have a good week and I promise to try and blog more!
Until next time

Black 'n' Blue

I wasn't sure about culottes to begin with. I tried a couple of pairs on in Primark but I wasn't really wearing the right top so I didn't like how they looked and I wasn't convinced that they were really me. However I found these in the New Look sale so thought I'd have another go and try them on and I'm really pleased that I did as I actually really like them.
I was worried I wouldn't really have anything to wear with them but after getting them home I remembered that I had these black and blue New Look heels that I picked up in the January sales this year. So with those and my trusty H&M blue crop top, that actually goes well with the culottes, I convinced myself that I had to keep them.
They are actually a lot more versatile than I thought they would be as you can dress them down with skater shoes for a relaxed daytime look, and as they're longer I'll be able to wear them into the autumn which is a bonus.
What do you think of culottes?

Kimono

Palm Print/Trousers/Blue and Pink/Miss Selfridge Kimono/Trousers/Bright Colours/Black Floral
I AM IN LOVE!
I am in love with that middle kimono and trouser matching set from Miss Selfridge! As soon as I clapped eyes on the kimono I instantly wanted it, then up popped the matching trousers on the side of the screen and I was almost speechless! I can't describe how much I love the print and the colours just scream autumn dressing to me.
For a while now I've been on the hunt for the perfect kimono and although I'm pretty sure I've found my perfect one I thought I'd share a few more gorgeous ones that caught my eye.
The brightly coloured one in the top right of the picture is one that I saw on Instagram first and its from Shop Popular Culture. The colours are just divine and it just looks so luxurious, it's also been added to my 'To Buy' list as i think it would look amazing with an all black outfit.
All the other pieces in the photo are from Topshop. I know the trousers in the bottom left aren't a kimono but I just love them and the print fits in with the theme of the post.
What do you think of kimonos?

Jump To It

Jumpsuit - River Island
Skater Shoes - Primark

So by the time this post is published I will be in Devon and I will know what my results are! (such a scary thought)
I recently got this jumpsuit in the River Island sale for £20 and it's another really easy to wear piece. I was looking for a more relaxed jumpsuit that I could just throw on with these amazing Primark skater shoes or that I could dress up for a night out. And this jumpsuit ticks all those boxes.
I am sooooooo pleased with my Primark shoes and I'm not ashamed to say that I do have a pair in all 3 colours because they are just such good value for money and they are ridiculously comfortable. I've had a lot of comments on them with people asking me if they were from Topshop or River Island. It's safe to say I shocked them when I told them they were £7 in Primark.
So there we have another easy to wear bargain outfit!
